Aaron grew up in the Midwest as a pastor’s kid. The Holy Spirit gave him a kick into ministry when he led a chapel devotion as a senior in high school. After studying at Martin Luther College and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Aaron served his vicar year (year of pastoral internship) at Water of Life Lutheran Church in Las Vegas, Nevada. Eleven months later he was back in Las Vegas having been assigned upon graduation from the Seminary to start a new mission church. He served there at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church for seven years.
In 2015, Aaron accepted the call to serve as a third pastor to assist in the ever growing ministry of Grace Lutheran Church bringing his experience of working with a church and people from the ground up to serve Grace and downtown Milwaukee. Along with regular preaching and teaching, Aaron is responsible for the outreach and evangelism ministry at Grace along with college campus ministry, and has recently spearheaded Grace’s second site ministry in the Historic Third Ward of Milwaukee.
Aaron enjoys sports and the outdoors. He is married to Abbie and together they raise two precious children – Hannah and Elijah. As a family they enjoy staying busy with outdoor activities, spending time with family and friends, and getting to know the Milwaukee area.
